A Fine quality 19th Century oak cased Stick Barometer, in excellent condition. The ivory scale plates, signed by Dolland the maker, With a mercury Fahrenheit thermometer vernier slide scale. The trunk, of aged English oak with original exposed barometer tube and turned cistern cover.

One of the most renowned of barometer makers, Dolland was founded in the mid 18th Century by Huguenot Peter Dolland, who was officially the Instrument Maker and Optician to King George III.
